Children Australia Volume 46, Issue 2 is out now!
09 Jan 2025
Understanding the complex challenges facing children, young people, and families is at the heart of this edition of Children Australia. With a special focus on poverty, child abuse, and the systemic factors influencing these issues, this edition brings together research and practice insights aimed at driving meaningful change. From exploring the impact of cash transfers and professional care in alleviating child poverty to understanding how trauma and ambiguous loss affect care leavers transitioning into early parenting, the articles present a look at the interconnected factors shaping vulnerable lives.
The editorial board is led by three impressive co-editors-in-chief, Professor Sharon Bessell, Associate Professor Tim Moore and Adjunct Professor Dave Vicary and is an open access journal, with the current and past issues now available to read for free through the journal’s new website.
