Applying TCI and other frameworks to support young people experiencing mental ill-health in residential care

This workshop will support participants to think about some of the widely used principles and frameworks commonly used in residential care (including TCI) as they relate to supporting young people experiencing mental ill-health.

Learning outcomes

  • In the first session, residential carers will develop their skills in identifying concerns regarding a young person’s mental health, and providing a first-line response to these.
  • In the first session, residential carers will develop their skills in identifying concerns regarding a young person’s mental health, and providing a first-line response to these.
  • In the second session, residential carers will build on this knowledge through developing skills for responding in crisis.

Intended audience

The Residential Care workforce.

Two-part workshop online – 3.5 hours each, or in person 6.5 hour workshop.
